The Poor Boy Who Bought One Orange – A Moral Story About Kindness

The Poor Boy Who Bought One Orange – A Moral Story About Kindness

He had only one coin.
And one hungry heart.

In a small village lived a poor boy.

Every day, he carried water for people to earn a few coins.

His stomach often growled with hunger,
but he never complained.

One evening, he went to the market.

He counted his money.

Only one coin.

He could buy just one orange.

He held it tightly in his hand,
already imagining its sweet taste.

As he walked home, he saw an old beggar sitting by the road.

The beggar looked weak.
His clothes were torn.
His eyes were full of pain.

“Please help me,” the beggar whispered.

The boy stopped.

He looked at the orange.

Then at the beggar.

Slowly, his hands began to shake.

He was hungry.

Very hungry.

But something in his heart felt heavier than hunger.

He stepped forward and placed the orange in the beggar’s hands.

“Eat this,” he said softly.

The beggar’s eyes filled with tears.

“May God bless you, my child,” he whispered.

That night, the boy went to sleep hungry.

But his heart felt strangely full.

The next morning, a rich merchant knocked on his door.

“I saw what you did yesterday,” the merchant said.

“You gave your only food to a stranger.”

The merchant handed him a bag of money.

“This is not charity,” he smiled.

“This is destiny rewarding kindness.”

The boy’s eyes filled with tears.

He realized something powerful that day.

Kindness never leaves you empty.

It always comes back… multiplied.
