At the edge of a quiet forest,
two plants grew side by side.
One was a tall oak tree.
Strong.
Proud.
Its trunk was thick and firm.
The other was bamboo.
Thin.
Flexible.
Silent.
The oak often looked down at the bamboo.
“You are weak,” the oak said.
“You bend at every wind.
Stand straight like me.”
The bamboo smiled gently.
“I bend so I don’t break,” it replied.
The oak laughed.
“One day,” he said,
“I will show you what real strength looks like.”
That night,
dark clouds gathered.
The wind roared.
Thunder shook the ground.
A powerful storm hit the forest.
The oak stood tall.
“I will not move,”
he declared.
The wind grew stronger.
The bamboo bent low,
almost touching the ground.
Branches cracked.
The oak resisted.
Suddenly—
CRACK!
With a loud sound,
the oak’s trunk snapped.
He fell.
The storm passed.
Morning arrived.
Sunlight touched the forest again.
The bamboo slowly stood upright—
unharmed.
Nearby,
the mighty oak lay broken.
The bamboo whispered softly:
“Strength is not about standing rigid.
It is about knowing when to bend.”
🌟 MORAL OF THE STORY
True strength is flexibility.
Those who adapt survive,
while those who refuse to change often break.
